Scientific Deficiency Programme

DEFICIENCY PROGRAMME

 

Candidates who have the right to submit to a graduate programme without having industrial engineering background are enrolled in the below mentioned one-year Scientific Deficiency Programme.

 

 

Candidates for the Masters Programme

System Engineers

Total of 2 courses, 1 of which is compulsory and the other one is elective.

Compulsory Course: ENM 312 'Production Planning and Inventory Control'

Elective Course: 1 course from the below mentioned elective course group, Group II

 

Other Engineering Graduates

Total of 4 courses, 2 of which are compulsory and 2 of which are elective.

Compulsory Courses: ENM 202 'Operations Research I' and ENM 312 'Production Planning and Inventory Control'

Elective Courses: 1 course from each of the below mentioned elective course groups, Group I and Group II

 

Candidates for the Doctorate Programme

System Engineers

Total of 3 courses, 1 of which is compulsory and 2 of which are elective.

Compulsory Course: ENM 312 'Production Planning and Inventory Control'

Elective Courses: 2 courses from the below mentioned elective course group, Group II

 

Other Engineering Graduates

Total of 5 courses, 2 of which are compulsory and 3 of which are elective.

Compulsory Courses: ENM 202 'Operations Research I' and ENM 312 'Production Planning and Inventory Control'

Elective Courses: Total of 3 courses, on condition that at least 1 course is taken from each of the below mentioned elective course groups

A deficiency programme student has the opportunity to take at most 2 courses from the Graduate Programme in addition to the deficiency courses.

 

Attendance, course exams, course grades and conditions for being successful from courses are determined according to the Regulation of Education-Teaching and Exam of Undergraduate Programme of Gazi University, Faculty of Engineering(Industrial Engineering Department).

 

Compulsory courses are not allowed to be re-taken, students should pass the course at their first registrations. Elective courses can be re-taken during the time that the student is registered to the Deficieny Programme on condition that this time does not exceed 1 year. Students who could not be successful for 1 year are dismissed from the programme.
